A long-time rock climber, James sold his first pictures while rigging on the side of Yosemite’s El Capitan. He loved capturing the emotions of climbers on majestic walls.

As he progressed as a photographer, working as a photo editor at Climbing Magazine, putting together two photo-heavy guidebooks, and breaking into the portrait world, James continued to focus on capturing deep feelings, transitioning into shooting dozens of weddings, engagements, and elopements across the US.

James loves to travel, shoot in good light, and act as a documentarian of your special day. His camera aims to capture candid moments that evoke emotion. Nothing looks better than love.
